"Don't tell me what I can't do!" ---Locke
1x04 + 1x05 "Walkabout" + "White Rabbit"

1x04: Survivors are jolted awake in the middle of the night when wild island beasts (which are wild boars) invade the beach encampment. Kate and Michael join the mysterious Locke on a hunt for food -- and a shocking secret about Locke is revealed. On the hunt for food someone is injured. Meanwhile, some survivors are horrified by Jack's plan for the dead bodies still scattered among the wreckage -- he wants to burn them. Jack sees someone that's not there, and we find out that one of the survivors was not able to walk but now he can. A Locke-centric episode.

1x05: Jack is nearly delirious from lack of sleep and struggles to overcome the haunting events that brought him to Australia and, subsequently, to the island. Meanwhile, Boone gets caught in a treacherous riptide trying to save a woman who went out swimming. A pregnant Claire's health takes a bad turn from lack of fluids, and a thief may have stolen the last bottles of water. Veronica Hamel guest-stars as Jack's mother, Margo. Also, Jack flashes back at 12 years old, to find himself on the playground in an altercation with a bully, who ultimately beats him up, and later learns a life lesson from his father. A Jack-centric episode..

OMFG JOHN LOCKE HOW I HAVE MISSED YOUR EPIC WIN.
This entire thing just makes me sad, though. He's so tragic and amazing and fucking evil man just used and abuse him for his win.

Burning People: For like one of the only times I agree with Jack. But Kate is all GASP GASP GASP HORRIFIED. At least he's not asking you to eat them. Stfu.

Actually, yeh, let's talk Kate: And that fact that she does NOTHING on the show but be used as a plot device for characters to do shit. Did that make any sense? It's like backwards in my head, but it makes sense. Idk.

OH LOOK. THERE'S LOCKE BEING THE KING OF ALL BADASSERY.

It pisses me off now what an asshole Michael is over Locke already. Get out you douchebag. Don't hate on someone more amazing then you. SAME TO YOU DOUCHEBAG BOSS. Locke is so cuddley to me. I want him to be my Grampa with Molly Weasley as my Grandma. Cross-over OTP? I think yes.

Don't be worried about Kate, she doesn't deserve it. Just call her on her bullshit and make me smile. Good boy, Jack. Good boy.

Sun was the original HBIC. Juliet might have taken over, but no chick was more amazing then Sun. Just lying through her teeth about not understanding Michael and Walt. Loves it!

How much must it have sucked to be Claire? She's preggo for how long, finally starts to be happy, and then gets taken away by creepy Papa. She better have a huge role in the last season. I demand it.

"Why me?" ---Jack. As much as I love to hate on the Jears and all, could you imagine if someone other then Jack had taken on the leadership role on the island? Just completely take him out of the equation. It's .... it can't be the same show, could it?

Rose's faith in Bernard is soooo amazing. One of the best things about the show. The unwavering faith that she had in other survivors.

THE AMAZINGNESS THAT IS THE END OF THIS EPISODE DESERVES SOMETHING ALL IT'S OWN.

How many people screamed "OHMYGOD" when they saw Locke was in a wheel chair? And the music ... and the line ... and then him walking again!!! OMFG. So amazing. Top ten episode.

Michael: Did you get any kind of look at it?
Locke: ....No.

They all said the smoke monster was heading right towards Locke. But it just missed him and he didn't see it at all? Something's up. Or that is some kickass foreshadowing. A lot of people are thinking Mr. X/Esau/Black Shirt Guy was already using Locke early on in the show, and this could be seen as proof. Locke totally saw something. idfk.

....Also, THE ENDING OF WALKABOUT WILL NEVER NOT MAKE ME CRY. <3

From the moment John Locke starts shouting that the walkabout is his destiny to the moment he puts his shoe on and stands up, I am literally incapable of words for all the crying. <333

I love that scene with John in his wheelchair saying that he was supposed to go on the walkabout. The music, and emotion is just so powerful.

Did Locke really not see anything when smokey was coming toward him?

Re-watching this made me realize just how sad Locke's life was.

When Locke woke up after the crash and was looking at his foot, I couldn't help but think, "wiggle your big toe."

I thought this was a pretty boring episode. Plus, I don't like Jack so I'm not a big fan of episodes that center around him.
